Input value chain/ East-Southern Africa - ACTESA and AFAP collaborate for a joint fertilizer program

The Alliance for Commodity Trade in Eastern and Southern Africa (ACTESA) in collaboration with the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) have designed a joint program on Fertilizer Policy and Regulation. The programme aims at harmonizing fertilizer policies and regulations at a regional level to facilitate fertilizer trade across borders. Moreover, the fertilizer policy objective is to improve accessibility of fertilizer to smallholder farmers, increase productivity, income growth, poverty reduction and boost national member’s food security.
